Repeated IVF Failures & Further Investigation

Without a doubt, IVF failures are one of the most frustrating occasions for a couple throughout their IVF path. Especially when they aren't fully informed about the reasons behind a number of failed IVF attempts, it may even lead to depression.
North Cyprus IVF pays extreme attention on this issue. In case of a failed trial, our patients are subject to
go through a complete analysis before their next IVF attempt in order to rule out some known possibilities. Additionally, if consequent results are not satisfying enough, some other factors are considered and observed in detail.

Some of the exigent factors that cause for IVF implantation failure can be cited as follows;

Uterine Infection

It is highly believed that infection of the uterine cavity with bacteria may result in an inhospitable environment and therefore may cause a failure of embryos to implant. Similarly, some other infectious diseases such as; CMV, IgG, Chlamydia etc. should be examined within this framework. Generally, antibiotics are used for infection treatments.

Immune factors

In some circumstances, the immune system is suspected to perceive the embryo as a foreign entity. Hence, it rejects the implantation of embryos.

Thrombophilias

Based on large scale investigations and researches, the existence of thrombophilias in women is associated with the risk of miscarriage. Furthermore, some researches even indicate the relation between thrombophilias and implant failures.

Although these factors can not be presented as a complete list of causes behind IVF failures, they are accepted as main contributors. However, for a much better personal assessment some specific analysis are needed to be performed with all aspects and conditions included.

IVF with ICSI at North Cyprus IVF Clinic

The process of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)  treatment can be simply described as the combination off eggs with sperm in the laboratory environment. As a basic part of this procedure ICSI Is performed so that the best quality sperm is selected and injected into the nucleus of the egg for fertilization. As a result, we catch the opportunity to get potentially the highest quality embryos.

At North Cyprus IVF, IVF treatment is performed through below mentioned five steps;

1st Step: Visiting your gynecologist for pre-testing and a sonogram.

2nd Step: Based on those results, a preliminary work and stimulation of the ovary.

3rd Step: Arriving Cyprus where a final sonogram is executed so that the patient is prepared for the trigger injection.

4th Step: Egg retrieval and in vitro fertilization.

5th Step: Transfer of the embryo transfer.

Our experts as well as IVF specialists at North Cyprus IVF are always more than happy to enlighten you with your IVF treatment options.

Intra-Uterine Insemination (IUI)

Intra-Uterine Insemination (IUI) is a non-invasive, as well as a low cost fertility treatment among many fertility treatment options offered at North Cyprus IVF.  The main purpose of this treatment is to catch a higher possibility of fertilization through increasing the number of sperms that reach the fallopian tubes.

Mostly, couples with below indicated conditions prefer IUI;

Low sperm count.
Decreased sperm mobility.
Requirement of donor sperm.
A hostile cervical cases such as cervical mucus being quite thick
Sexual dysfunction

Simply put, it is the placement of a number of washed sperm directly into the uterus with the use of a catheter. Lab processes a semen sample and dispatches the sperm from the seminal fluid while the development of follicles are observed through a number of sonograms. Once the follicles reach the ideal level of growth, human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) is injected in order to stimulate the release of eggs from the follicles. After 35 hours of this injection, processed sperm is injected into the uterus with a catheter.

This treatment increases the number of sperm cells that are put in the uterus and therefore brings a higher probability of conception.

Male Infertility - Causes and Investigation

Two main factors that affect infertility in men are either caused by problems making sperm or problems with the sperm's ability to reach the egg and fertilize it. In some cases, a man is born with the problems that affect his sperm. Other times, problems occur later in life because of illness or injury. Additionally some factors such as; alcohol, drugs, cigarette smoking, medicines, health problems may reduce sperm number and/or quality.

In order to understand the cause and severity of the problem, a semen analysis would show crucial parameters such as sperm volume and sperm count. However, having enough sperm cells is not sufficient. They also need to have a certain level of motility. Similarly, sperm morphology is another very important factor.

Sometimes, even if sperm production is not sufficient enough, minor surgical procedures like TESA and MESA can be used to retrieve sperm. In other cases where no sperm can be found or the quality is considerably low, donor sperm usage becomes the only alternative.

Female Infertility - Causes and Investigation

 Most common causes of infertility in women are; absence of ovulation or insufficient quality of the eggs (oocytes) for fertilization. Additionally, many factors such as; age, stress, excessive use of tobacco and alcohol, sexually transmitted and infectious diseases, being overweight or underweight, athletic training, lack of the essential nutrients resulting from a poor diet and any factors leading to hormonal imbalances may act on a woman's fertility.

Aging has a crucial effect on a woman's fertility. After the age of 30, a woman's chance of having a baby decrease expeditiously each year. Mainly because the health of a woman's ovaries to release eggs and health of the eggs declines whereas, risks of having a miscarriage, as well as risks arising from a woman's personal health problems which may interfere with fertility increases. Therefore women in their 30's who have been trying to get pregnant for six months or longer should immediately consult their doctors for a complete fertility evaluation. As for most healthy women under the age of 30, should not worry unless they have been trying for at least a year.

Infertility testing and evaluation starts at your gynecologist's, where a sonogram will be used to find out the number of potential eggs in each ovary on the 2nd or 3rd day of your menstrual period. Besides, hormone testing will be useful in order to make an evaluation of your ovarian function including FSH, LH, Estradiol, Prolactin, TSH and AMH. Depending on the results, the most appropriate course of action will be decided.

Patient Testimonial

Amy was my initial co ordinator and she is excellent. She responded back to my queries very promptly and was always available if i needed to speak to her. On my arrival to Cyprus, the taxi driver was waiting and the check in at the Golden Tulip was very fast and stress free. I was also given a welcome pack from the clinic upon my arrival which had details of my appointment with the doctor the following day. ALL the staff at the clinic are excellent, very friendly and always willing to help. Melesse, Fatosh and Angie were excellent and very supportive through a very stressful and anxious time. Thank you. Idil and Dr Savas were also very excellent. They both explained everything very well and answered any questions which we had. Dr Savas made me feel re assured that everything would be ok as it is a very anxious time during treatment and there are always loads of questions which go around your mind. The centre itself is clean and welcoming and is located around the corner from Golden Tulip Hotel so is walking distance which was also a bonus. My experience with North Cyprus IVF was excellent..... waiting for the results.
